Nourish Whitelock Farm Stewardship Program

Nourish Whitelock Banner

Root yourself in the land, the work, and the community.

At Whitelock Community Farm, stewardship is at the heart of our mission. Nourish Whitelock invites community members into hands-on learning, collective care, and food justice work that sustains both people and the land.

Participants gain valuable farming skills—from seed starting and composting to drip irrigation and beekeeping. You’ll support our farmers market, build infrastructure, and grow food for your community—all while deepening your connection to land and purpose.

Long-term Volunteering

Long-term Volunteering

Stewardship is about collective care. We provide consistent volunteer hours where community members can engage in meaningful work—whether it’s tending to crops, maintaining the land, or assisting with farm operations. Your time and effort contribute to the overall health and sustainability of the farm.

Farm Training

Gain hands-on experience in sustainable farming, composting, and food production. Our program offers practical training for all skill levels, equipping community members with the knowledge to grow, harvest, and steward the land effectively.

Leadership Development

Leadership Development

Stewardship is for everyone, with a focus on empowering youth to take active roles in shaping our local food system. Participants have the opportunity to develop leadership skills by guiding volunteer efforts, organizing workshops, and contributing to farm projects. Through mentorship and hands-on learning, youth and community members alike gain the confidence and experience to become advocates for food justice and environmental sustainability. This program is a pathway to leadership, ensuring that the next generation is equipped to steward the land and build a resilient future.

Community

Community

The farm is more than a space for growing food—it’s a space for growing relationships. Stewardship is about building a collective vision for food sovereignty, environmental responsibility, and neighborhood resilience. Through this program, we cultivate not just the land, but also a deeper sense of care for one another. By working together, we strengthen the bonds that sustain our community, ensuring that knowledge, resources, and leadership are shared across generations.
